Oscar

Astronotus Ocellatus
Marble Cichlid, Velvet Cichlid
Temperature: 70º - 80º  (In the wild they live in slow moving backwaters and pools that can reach 86º)
Diet:  Typical large cichlid diet of shrimp, food sticks, earthworms, and pellet.  Will accept feeders.
Length: 12"
Compatibility:  They are one of the least aggressive cichlids available today.  Occasional bullying between tank mates generally ends without damage.
Comments: When I first started keeping fish, Oscar's were not one of my favorites.  I must admit a certain affinity for them now.  When I approach their tank they become very animated and beg for food.
Total in my Collection:  1 adult Veiled Albino Tigers, 2  Juvenile Albino Tigers, 1 adult Red Tiger

Albino Tiger Oscar.  I like the coloration on this fish.  Orange only on the tip of the gill cover.
