Pacu

Piaractus Brachypomum
Temperature: 72º - 79º
Diet:  They are omnivorous and will eat almost anything.  I've fed mine grapes, peas, broccoli, bananas, cherry tomatoes,  feeders, krill,  beef heart, raw chicken breast, earthworms and food pellets.
Length: 5'
Compatibility:   They are relatively mild mannered.  They will do well with most other Cichlids.  Your concerns should be the others harassing them.
Comments:  Because of their size and appetite they will produce a lot of organic waste in the system.   You have to make sure you have the proper filtration.  When I bought my big guy he was as big as a quarter.  He's close to two feet long now.  Make sure you have the "big tank" ready.
Total in my Collection:  1 Adult Red Pacu
